An incredible antique Indian cast metal joker or jester form box. This piece was made in the traditional style of Dhokra, an ancient folk art tradition of lost-wax metal casting found in the eastern states of India. These specific pieces were often designed to store precious jewels and coins. It is an extremely rare and highly collectible piece with it's joker or jester head - we've never seen another like it! It would make a beautiful addition to a your home.
Believed to date back to the 1930's. The box is in good shape for its age with beautiful natural patina.
